The Zoo

Nick & Mikayla(Lisa had to work), TJ, Nathan, Jordan and myself went to the zoo.  We arrived just in time to see the polar bears have their lunch.

Look at the little alligators eyeing Nathan & Mikayla....I think it's a good thing there's glass in between them lol

Whatever Mikayla did....Nathan did lol  He's always trying to keep up with his bigger cousins.

Nick decided to go for a ride.

And the trip wouldn't have been complete if we didn't stop to pick this guy's nose lol

It's been a while...

It's been a while since my last post and I know my sister is checking regularly for some new pics :) so I thought I'd better do this already lol

Nathan and Jordan are doing great!  Summer has went by quickly but we did enjoy the awesome weather we've had.

Jordan a.k.a. "Jiggy" is a big boy!  The nickname Jiggy came from TJ.  Not too sure how it really started but it has stuck and we tend to call him Jiggy or Jigs more than Jordan.  Although I still use Jordan here and there because he needs to know what his actual name is too lol

We went for a day trip to the CN Tower.

Nathan on the glass floor.

TJ's attempt at a group shot.  :)

This year we went on a big tree planting kick.  In total we planted 20 trees....now we get to sit back and watch them grow.

Here's Nathan's Oak tree.   We have 6 other oak's planted on the back/side of our property.  They are so small that you can barley see them from the house lol but they are cute little guys.  TJ is very proud of his little oak's. :)

We decided to put 4 junipers in the front between our driveway and our neighbour's driveway because it just seemed too open.  We used to have a big shrub but TJ decided to give it a trim and we think he may have chosen the wrong time because come the following year it died so ever since we've wanted something there and I think these look awesome!  He then prettied them up by putting red chips around them.  I love how it looks out there now.

Jordan is tipping the scales at 22lbs. 2oz. and is 28" long (Nathan was almost 17lbs. at Jiggy's age lol)  He's having a hard time figuring out the whole rolling over thing.  He'll roll on his sides in his bed but when he's on the floor he tends to push up on his heels and kinda shimmy to one side so that's how he moves.  I keep trying to encourage rolling but he just doesn't do it.  He's started to play with his voice making "g" and "b" sounds.  And he can actually say what sounds like "Jiggy" which is kinda funny to hear.

Father's Day

So I decided this year that I was going to take the boys to get their pictures taken and surprise TJ for Father's Day.  I took them to wal-mart and luckily Jordan woke up in a great mood and gave lots of smiles.  Nathan was also in a great picture taking mood but then again he will almost always give you a smile.

Later that night, TJ & Nathan were jumping on the trampoline & TJ asked Nathan what we did during the day and Nathan goes "We went and got our pictures taken"....I was like "Ahh man!!" and TJ looks over at me with this smile on his face and goes "You went for pictures today, did you?"  I was like "No we didn't.....we were looking at pictures in the store" but I figured for sure he knew.  Then while we were saying goodnight to Nathan he gave Jordan a hug and said the cutest thing....he goes "Thank you for taking pictures with me Jordan" it was so adorable & TJ just looked at me and smiled so I was like yep, he knows but ah well, it will still be a fun surprise.  Sometimes kids just say too much lol :)

So here's the one that we framed and wrapped and the boys gave to him for Father's Day.

I love this picture!!  The girl said she just thought of this pose on the spot and I just love it!

And here's the card that we made for him.  At first I wanted hand prints but I couldn't get Jordan's fingers to cooperate so then I thought about foot prints and that worked perfectly.

Here's the other pictures that we got as well.

Recent Pics...

Here's some pics from the last month or so.  Jordan is doing great!  He smiles a lot and likes to talk to you.  He can grab a toy if you hold it in front of him and just over a week ago he gave us his first laugh. :)  He's not a big fan of "tummy time" but when we do it he pushes a lot with his legs and is pushing his bum in the air a little...

Nathan is a little "sporto"!  He loves all kinds of sports.  He's got an awesome kick and a good throw.  We signed him up for outdoor soccer this summer (just the basic one where every kid has their own ball) so we'll see how he does with that.   Here he's playing catch with Dad.
Since it's been so hot out Nathan's been cooling off with the sprinkler.  He just loves it! Both TJ & I had fun running through it with him too.

Easter Weekend

I know Easter was 2 weeks ago but I didn't load my pictures up until today....

Since I can remember my family has always done the same thing on Easter weekend....On Good Friday my Mom makes a fish dinner, on Saturday she makes a ham dinner and then we colour eggs afterwards, then on Sunday while having breakfast we have our egg war and then a turkey for dinner.  This year we did the eggs before dinner because Jay, Chantelle & Jayden were having dinner at her parent's house so they came over in the afternoon and we did the eggs then.

Here's one of Jayden's eggs.

And here's all the eggs.

Then Nathan went for a ride in his Jeep before dinner.

Sunday....

TJ & Nathan went head to head first with their eggs....Nathan's won.

2 Months!!

Today Jordan is 2 months old and man has it ever flown by!  We went to the doctor's today for his check up and first 2 needles.  He cried a little after the first one and wailed after the second one but quieted down pretty quick.  He is now weighing 10lbs. 5oz. and 22" long.  He is doing great!

Checkin' out his hand...

Nathan showing him how to play Mario Kart.

A visit with Auntie Jenn.

He has started to give us those adorable smiles. I didn't capture the best moment of this one but close...so cute!

Nathan had his check up today too and he is now 34.5lbs. and 3' 3" tall.  He is also doing great! He's fully potty trained during the day but will still go at night in his pull up so we decided about 2 weeks ago to take the pull up away and keep him in his underwear through the night and wake him up to go pee.  So far he's doing alright, pretty cranky at that time of night lol but will eventually get up and go.  There has been one occasion that he just wouldn't get up and he wet the bed and a couple other nights that he didn't hold it but for the most part he's doing good.
